in English is " the City of Lights " and in French is " La ville des lumières "

I have spent many years living in Paris France its nickname as called by the French is "La Ville des Lumières" which means "the city of lights"

Just in case you're interested, Parisians call Paris: "Paname". Don't know why, though.
