It could be her kidneys, that's what happenend to my dog. She stopped eating. I suggest taking her to a vet asap before it gets worse. Could be as simple as a blockage in the intestine or it could be early signs of kidney failure. Don't hesitate, I had a dog die of kidney failure, had we known sooner we could have done a lot for her.

is it a young dog ... less than 8-10 months? has it had all it's boosters?

if so, and she's not eating and acting listless, it could be parvo. please don't be frightened, but parvo is a fatal disease if it is not treated as soon as possible. the dog gets dehydrated and won't eat and eventually that's what makes it die.

the vet will put the dog on fluids subcutaneously (under the skin) and will administer medicine dosed three times daily. my dog had parvo and i was able to get the shots from the vet so i didn't have to board my dog during the sickness. i think it helped to have mine at home where he's comfortable.

you have to be somewhat comfortable with needles - the shots are applied under the skin - not in the muscle or vein. so it's easiest to raise the extra skin on the back of the neck and poke there.

anyway, if you have a younger dog, call the vet NOW. don't wait ... even one day can make a huge difference in how sick she gets if she has parvo.

something we did to make my little guy eat was feed him salisbury steak from a NightHawk fronze dinner. We heated it up and patted the grease off ... he hadn't eaten in 2 days and gobbled that steak up like it was nothing. just a suggestion.

Go get a second opinion. See a different vet. Otherwise I would just wait a bit.. make sure she has lots of water, and give her small amounts of food at first. Perhaps the vet can't find anything wrong because it's nothing really major.. perhaps like the K-9 version of the stomach flu.. or food posioning. If she won't eat or drink for 2 days.. I would take her in to see the vet again

Dogs that have things like liver/pancreatic problems will often over drink, pant with pain and urinate uncontrollably in addition to being lethargic and may not want to eat. Worms react this way also, if the dog as an abundance of worms it will cause them to run fever, and the dog will drink alot of water too. The worms can and will kill the dog.
Parvo will cause this too at the first signs of sickness, but it is usually followed by vomitting, and bloody diareha.
My suggestion is to get the dog to the vet immediately. If this is serious the dog can die. It is possible that the dog may have a viral infection and needs antibiotics, keeping him at home will not get him better.

Parvo is very common in younger dogs under 5 years of age. A Vquick visit to the vet usually will bring the dog right out of all that and it usually only cost about 60$ and then she should be fine

Take her to the vet. Are you sure the dog is sick? Maybe the dog may need a change in food. Change the dogs food...buy a new brand and not have your dog eat the same over and over...they may get sick of it. Buy the wet dog food along with buying the dry. Try the wet dog food in gravy. My dog loves it. But take him to the vet. And if there is nothing wrong...then you should take the other advice that I gave you.

I would take her to the vet asap... But depending on age, I highly doubt its Parvo.. Parvo is more suseptable in young puppies and very elderly dogs.. If the vaccine is not given. I wouldn't wait around for a change in food, whatever your dog's got could be lethal.

I think the first thing you might want to do is call the vet. Its hard to say what could be wrong. The vet is the best option here and I wouldn't waste time.

It hopefully is just something she ate. If it goes on for too long, you should call a vet, and you may have to take her in. Do not let it go for more than a day or so. Age is a factor.

I don't know what might be wrong with her, but you might want to get her to the vet as soon as possible. She might have worms or some kind of virus that could kill her!
