I live, i change, i develop myself into a better human being on a daily basis. I make errors and learn from them. It makes me grow into a better person. Worshipping myself is the greatest thing i can do.

I could also choose to worship a God that doesn't change, is always the same, and never fails. How boring is that ?

i'm of course referring to this ridiculous question:

The question you are referring to is ridiculous as this one is. I see the point you are making.

To answer your question, I am striving for the same things you are, to develop myself into a better human being on a daily basis. Part of this development is through my religious practice, which I don't find boring (but then, I don't worship a single unchanging god but many gods).

Theism makes sense to theists. Atheism makes sense to atheists. Boring, on either side? No.

I honestly feel sorry for you and can only hope that you find a better attitude about yourself, life as it is and God as you obviously don't know him.

God is an incredible part of life. If you "know him" and have him as a part of your life with the understanding that he knows you are not perfect, expects you to screw up and is still always going to love you and never deny you, life is wonderful. Yes, life can and is annoying, boring and frustrating, but within the negatives lies the challenge for change. You are challenged every day in every way, the question is, will you accept the challenges that God puts before you, or will you do nothing again. If you choose to do nothing, then life will remain boring and you will never change.

God only asks that we do our best and doing our best means continuously changing. Try it - you might find that it's not half bad!

Choosing to worship God is just that; a choice. But worshiping God is not boring. I don't know why you suggest that it is boring. A Changing God is a God which is too high and lofty to measure up to his standards. We and not to worship self BUT to worship God. I have never found worship service boring for there is life, joy, and peace worshiping God. AND to top all this off with desert, there is the preaching of the word. Do you know how wonderful it is to see a person come to the altar for help he or she needs. Do you know how wonderful to sing praises to God. Salvation is Joy unspeakable and full of Glory and during worship whether at home along, with others, or at house of God, it is all beautiful to experience.

To worship literally means "to ascribe worth". It's great that you value yourself. Too many so called worshippers do not. But, there is so much to life outside of ourselves. Inspiration comes from without. It is "breathed into" us. Life is a short and boring ride without being inspired (receiving from without the appreciation of the beauty around us). And, if that beauty didn't arrive here by chance, then how and why did it get here? These are the ponderings of a worshipper. If there is a God and if you are not a random blip in the sea of life, then what's it all about?

Worshipping yourself is about the most arrogant thing that I've heard. Worshipping God is not boring it brings you to a closer relationship with him. Better than anything here on Earth.

Do you need to 'worship' self to get the growth you seek? I think not. Worship is about a higher power of existence...the creator of the plan of life that we all fit within. To worship God is neither boring nor redundant to our lives. God does not change...our understanding of God can and does change. It is the direction we seek when the going get tough.

I Agree With (Bishop David)...You Really Do Need To Have A New Mind (Spiritually) To Understand The Joy & Completness That Those Who Love & Serve GOD Has!........You'll Never Know That Joy & Completness That Those Who Love & Serve GOD Has Until You Actually Receive GOD (HIS WAY)!.....

You've got it all wrong- what can worshipping yourself do?-it's meaningless. Filling your life with worship of the Almighty God is the only way to fill the emptiness. I'm kinda bad at explaining, but just go to: www.notreligion.com

most people (even some Christians) think our God is selfish in that He asks people to worship Him., but do you know the real reason He wants our worship? Its much like a loving father calling his little baby to bring that "baby doll" to him, and promises he would give a chocolate if he did that, really the father wants to be with his child, and the baby doll is only the means he can think of, to get his child come near him....even our Loving Father is like that....its mind-boggling to think that He loves our fellowship and thats why He loves to be worshipped..
you may think I am a religious geek with a long robe and a even longer beard and im none of that, but i just want to tell you that God loves you, even if you cannot accept that...

Why would it be boring to know that God is eternal, His promises are eternal, His mercy never ends, that He loves you, that He will be there for you always? That's boring?

Not for me. I love His faithfulness. He knows the number of hairs on my head. And they come out daily, so He has to know that too *smile*.

Nothing boring about a God that knows you better than you know yourself.....and who has good plans for you. I can trust Him with every breath, that's very freeing for me, I am full of assurance and confidence, where I used to be confused and unsure.

If there is an opposite of boring....that's what I live, alongside of Jesus Christ.
