I think of the Kiwi fruit or the Kiwi bird. Really depends on where I am.
If I am grocery shopping then I think of the fruit.
But if I am at home and see the word Kiwi, then I have to make sure I am thinking the right one, because it is usually when my children are asking me a question about kiwis ~ and that could be birds or fruit. :)

My first thought is of my old horse who was named "Kiwi." He was a New Zealand thoroughbred and he was beautiful! But, of course, I then think of the wonderful, unique Kiwi fruit!

Don't bust your gut laughing at this one...When I see "Kiwi"....I think of the black shoe polish that I used in the U.S. Army to spit shine my boots.
Yes I know that a Kiwi can be much more than shoe polish! LOL.

I think of New Zealand People, then the bird then the fruit, but mostly first instinct is a person from New Zealand.
