just like we shower.. they basically shower in their spit.. well now it sounds grose. BUT it's to keep clean.
My friends cat had something wrong with his tounge so he couldn't lick/clean himself and it was only for a few days but he was GROSE!
so thats why

They cant really turn on the shower and jump in and wash off, can they? So they clean with what is available :)
