If so, why?

I don't make a habit of disliking people for no reason. If I did then I probably would not have much fun at work because there is some awful weird people there.

Sadly, yes I have. If I get a bad vibe or feeling about the person, then I dislike them; don't know why that is, could be something with their character that I dislike. I grow to like people though, if I didn't already like them from the start, and it's very rare that I hate someone, whether based on vibes or anything.

Yeah, I really dislike Jared the Subway Guy. My reason for this is I think he provides false hope for people, and tries to make them become dependent on fast food. I just don't think eating Subway is the answer to weight problems, especially if you are from a low socio-economic group and cannot afford to eat there twice a day like Jared recommends. So yeah, I dislike him, but he hasen't done anything to me.

Yes. Some people just have a personality that I dislike for one reason or another, even if they don't do anything to me.

Yes, i dislike a whole bunch of people who haven't done anything to me. People who beat their kids, child molestors and rapists. I hate them all. But sometimes you can have feelings off distain towards schoolmates, etc. because just because something hasn't been directed personally towards you doesn't mean that their actions didn't offend you.

Yes I have. Sometimes it's their body language, sometimes it's the way they talk. It might be some small thing about the person, but when you meet them it makes all the difference. It's really true that you size up a person in the first 90 seconds of meeting them.

Yes.
I disliked someone who continuously posted in my city's newsgroup.
She always wrote about animals that need a home (which is nice), and she wrote about them as follows: "this little kitty is now accepting applications for new owners" and "he wants me to tell you that he likes his back rubbed", as if the cat was a human being.
It drove me NUTS!

She didn't actually DO anything to me, but I was ready to throttle her.

(BTW, I love cats)

Yes, but they've generally done something to hurt a person that I'm close to.

Otherwise, there are times when, instinctually, I know that I am not going to like someone I just met. But I'm polite to them until they give me a reason to behave otherwise.

Yes.. I know I have. And really can't explain why. But it's like a feeling in my gut that says "hey I'd watch that person".. and well I believe you should always follow instinct.

i know what you are experiencing... it happens because of the first perception you had by judging the first impression you recieved... mostly through their appearance... which usually relates to someone you already knew and they look slightly alike... try to misjudge them.... just be neutral until you really have more reasons to dislike the person.
