Well, one answer I haven't seen is the obvious.

If you buy a multicard reader, it won't matter what camera you get. I have a sony with memorystick and a canon that uses compactflash media. My mother, a technophobe, originally had a kodak with a base for easy transfer, but the software has had too many bells and whistles and got confusing to her. I don't use the any mfr. software because I have a desktop computer with an internal multi-card reader and a laptop with a PCMCIA reader.

Like a floppy disk of old, I just pop the card out of the camera and stick it in to the computer, open windows explorer, and move or upload the pictures. You CAN use their software to edit the pics, but for pure photo relocation, I prefer the disk method. also, most stores like walmart, walgreen's, target, etc. have multi-card readers you can use right in the store to get prints. just take your card in with you.

The Kodak Easy Share are the easiest but if you don't need quality pictures I'd recommend looking into a camera on your cell phone. I have TMobile and I can e-mail the picture right from my phone-- With a TMobile e-mail address. Nothing could be easier! The camera phone just sends the picture like you would send a call!

Good luck!

I would have to say that the Kodak easy share is the easiest to use because you can just hook in the cable, hit the share button and select your picture and off it goes...with the easy share software when you hit the share button it will bring up a screen on your computer with all the pictures on the camera then you can put a check on the ones you want and in the menu to the left it a button to click which says email pictures and off they go.

I recommend a Kodak EasyShare camera, with 5 or more megapixels (MP) and that runs on a lithium-ion battery. Downloading 100 pictures takes me 2 minutes. And with the software (included or you can download it for free) you can email right after downloading.

A 6MP or better camera is better for printing 8"X10" pictures. The EasyShare One is WiFi enabled.

Go with the Kodak Easyshare V570. It is extremely user friendly. It comes with a base unit that you can leave plugged into your computer. When you're ready to transfer the pictures, just place your camera on the unit and press a button!

If you do not need professional-quality picutres, the Kodak EasyShare systems are great for most people. My sister, a slight techno-phobe, just became a first-time mother and she and her busband bought a Kodak. It comes with everything you need to take the picutres, get them onto your computer, and send (e-mail) or print them -- and it is super simple to learn!

If you need a more professional camera, the Pentax Optio series is great. It takes a little longer and is more expensive, but Pentax is awesome for quality and service.

I have the Kodak EasyShare program and I hate it. It dosen't work half the time, it is way too slow to find all the pictures on my camera, and it does all kinds of stupid things. It always pesters me to buy something or to upload the pictures to their site or have them printed by them. I am perfectly capable of printing my own pictures. Thus, I do not reccommend the Kodak EasyShare software.

If you have windows xp then just about any digital camera is very easy to offload pictures from. I used Kodak easy share on my pre xp systems but took it off after upgrading to XP as it was a resource hog and I no longer needed it as XP did the job just as well.
