Ah, cheating! The ultimate taboo. But if you didn't get caught, did you really do it?
For some, it's not cheating if you only do it upright; if you only do it in stairwells and truckstops; if it's strictly above the waist; or strictly below. For others, it's not cheating if you tell your mate FIRST.
We vary only in the definitions we can comfortably live with. When you go to bed at night, that lump in your pillow is your conscience. It all depends on you whether it will keep you awake or not.

It still doesn't make it alright because what you did was wrong. Telling the truth though is the best thing to do because the longer you hold off then the longer your current relationship stands as a lie.
You and your partner will either work through this or not work through it. The ball is now in thier court. You made a mistake and now will need to learn from that mistake. After you tell the truth it may be best to split up. I only say this because the trust will never be there. She will may forgive you but will never forget the pain you caused and with that said that will cause a whole buch of relationship issues in the future if you both stay together.

I wish it was that simple but you are just going to end up hurting the person you cheated on and breaking someones trust is hard to repair

No. A cheater who admits to cheating may just be a cocky person who is proud of his/her mistake. That doesn't erase the mistake altogether.

No your just looking for your mate to let you have multiple partners. What you need is an open relationship where both can see other people.
