NO technique ever works for procrastination. We procrastinate simply because we don't want to do the thing although we deceive ourselves that this is the thing we wanna do.For example, can you ever procrastinate watcging your favourite show? no-why? because that is what you want desperately. You will distract everything else but not miss this thing.

Therefore,we have to find out what we really really want.So stick a paper everywhere in your room, car, bathroom and which asks"What do i really wanna do? What do i really want? " These are different questions, . For example my answer to the first question would be, i wanna run,jog in the morning.Oh what pure joy, what the feeling on top of the world when you run in the fresh breeze of the morning. "What do i want" means what do you want ,do you want a great body,do you want a raise whatever

At first you might find it difficult, even amusing to find out that you don't really know what you want. But this is just because we have repressed our desires in the past.We have not allowed ourselves to function at our highest potential. We were afraid what would happen if we got wings and soar to unknown, beautiful destinations.Dream wild, who is stopping you.Whatever you want most intensely will always come to you.It is your destiny.

When the answer would come for what i really want,it will come with such intensity, with such passion OR for some with such tremendous calmness and happiness, you will be overwhelmed.you might even cry.And yes everybody has a secret desire within his heart that one wants to fulfill.

For example, when i asked myself this all important question,i was stunned.I did not want fame, fortune, success. Not that i did not enjoy these, but what i really wanted was to be just happy, love & live to the fullest.Very surprising, but this is what i believed in my heart that would make myself fulfilled, that would make my life a tremendous blessing

Jus forget these techniques, they don't work, they just provide you some logic that your mind understands but they never touch your heart.and that's where the source of joy and fulfillment lies.Just be willing to discover what you really want and don't be afreaid, don't be afraid of your tremendous potential, don't be afraid what might happen if you will live your life to the fullest.

I hope you do find out what you want and what you wanna do.It may be something very crazy, very awkward but yes,you have known what you want.Hooray!!!!!!!

I'm also a procrastinator. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and do not know where to begin. So I do nothing. If you take baby steps and set out to accomplish one item a day you will feel accomplished. The best way for me to get going is to set small goals everyday. I have a 'to do' list on my desk and if I only accomplish one of the goals I feel happy and proud that I did something that was important to me.
Also, try and stay focused on your task. Its easy to get distracted. It takes time to develop a discipline to focus. Take your time and don't give up!

I do that at times too, though not as much as when I was younger.

If you're a young adult (say, early to mid 20s), then chances are that you will procrastinate less the older you get.

If it's really bad, though, you may want to speak to a professional about some possible causes, including adult attention deficit disorder.

I am! I am just like you.

I try to reward myself when I get stuff done in the proper amount of time.

If I finish all my work at the job, I can go to the movies.
When I get to cleaning the house, I can order a pizza.

You've gotta have a lot of discipline, but the rewards pay off.

Don't worry you are not alone. I procrastinate so much and I totally hate it. I wish I knew how to get rid of this habit. I've been meaning to send some college papers and some bills out for so long but I can't get myself to do it. It's terrible :(

You just have to do it. I am a terrible procrastinator too but the only thing that helps me is to get up off my butt and do what I am supposed to do and not think myself out of it.

positioned electric powered alligator clips on the ends of your palms. Then, whenever you slack off, have someone wonder the frickin' hell out of you! i'd imagine you'd be doing issues in a prioritized trend very right now flat.

If you honestly feel this way you might have ADHD. It is also possible that procrastination is your defense mechanism for a world that is moving to fast for your liking.
