Well, you know, the Big Band isn't all its cracked up to be. A lot of us theists think it's just a glorified Rolling Stones cover band, and we aren't really sure they play their own instruments.
As for proof that a divinity exists, well, no, I don't have scientific proof of it. But then, I never claimed I did. I have personal proof and personal experience, which is enough for my personal belief. I have never claimed that my subjective experience should be sufficient proof for anyone else's belief. Or lack thereof. I have also never claimed that evolution or the big bang aren't real, or that these are not the current best scientific explanations.
As for not having a brain, that claim is downright preposterous. Everyone has a brain. Without a brain, the human body couldn't function.
All theists are stupid? Everyone everywhere who holds some belief in a divinity is stupid? How is that logical? It sounds more like a broad generalization to me. Where is your evidence to back it up? Can you prove that I am stupid?

The assertion that God does not exist is not a very smart assertion in itself.
The proof of God's existence is intuitive, like love is intuitive. It is a higher kind of 'proof' than what mere human intellect is capable of grasping.
Think about it. If God were real, and he did create all of the rest of us, would not his intelligence far exceed our own? Compare the intellect of an ant, if you will, to that of a Nobel prize-winning scholar. And even that would be an unfair comparison because the scholar would not be able to create an ant.
If God were real, he would be making all the rules. It is my belief as a Christian that one of those rules is that people must have faith in order to get to know him. That doesn't mean the faith is blind, and that the human intellect is never used in the process. It just means that it is up to God what proof of his existence he will be revealing, when people seek him sincerely.
And that proof is always there--for the simple to the scholarly. Hegel was a Christian.

Its is ironic you say that. People have also disproved evolution and the big bang theory. A higher being and a supernatural has been proven mutliple times. I dont believe that everything created itself. Its like saying that this internet and this webstie created it self by colliding with a rock. I mean did you SEE the people make it when they did ?

If you disassembled an excellent wrist watch and put it in a box and started shaking it, or just left it there alone and still, how long would it take for the watch to reassemble itself? Now, look at the complexity of life and the universe and ask what are the chances of all of this coming together by itself? To me, it takes more faith not to believe there is a God than to believe that there is one.

I'm a theist who does not believe in organized religion, and I definitely believe in evolution and the big bang. Just thought I'd show you not everyone fits into one pretty little category. :)

You know what, I've got a brain. Just because yours can't wrap itself around the idea of something larger than yourself and this world, doesn't make me stupid. I can't prove there is a God just like you can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there isn't one. So just knock the "smarter than thou" b.s. off.

What proof do you have? A book written thousands of years ago. Genius really smart. We use modern day science you use mythology.

Have you ever thought of talking to a therapist? Either you have a lot of anger on this issue or are so insecure about yourself you need to make yourself feel better by putting others down?
