I'd say its another battle for supremacy between grieving Tiger and Lefty Phil!

Winged Foot will win. The USGA will win. Just like the 1974 "Massacre at Winged Foot," the greens will be table-top slick and the rough will eat errant shots alive. Recall that Hale Irwin won the 1974 U.S. Open without shooting under par in any of his 4 rounds. The 2006 Open will be more like an episode of "Survivor" than the PGA tour's regular weekly birdie binge. If Woods keeps his drives in the fairways, then Eldrick takes the title in a fitting tribute to his dad. If Woods strays into the deep stuff too often, Mickelson is poised to add another "major" to his trophy case. Predict that the survivor wins the title with a 2-over-par total.

I think it's going to be someone from 'the pack', a la Michael Campbell's win last year. The course is so hard that it is borderline unfair, and I don't see Mickelson winning 3 majors in a row, although I'd be glad to see such an event occur. Tiger will have too much rust and is too scattershot off the tee at this course. The rough is going to be monstrous. Watch for a guy like Chad Campbell.

Mickelson is on top of his game, Tiger just lost his dad and will be focused to win for the tribute factor. But I like Vijay's chances to walk away with a victory at Winged Foot now that he's putting well.

i'm pulling for Tiger all the way yet Baddeley is playing o.k.. there is going to be distinctive stress on that very last pairing although, so seem for Furyk to positioned up a score and win.

I would like to say that Tiger should come out strong. But I really like Phil. But my personal choice would have to go to Adam Scott, he has played spectacularly the last few tournaments.

Goosen. But I think someone like Justin Leonard may surprise everyone. He hasn't won in a while and maybe up for this one.
