My mother's people came from Ireland. The elder people in our family are all gone now. I tried to find the book with no success.
I have moved recently and can't find the information I have on all of this. I don't remember the author's name, but the book is "The Cowan's of County Down." I hope someone can help me find it.

ok, I did some searching for you myself and I found the book in Amazon.com. It is in there out of print section with limited availabilty. When you get to the Amazon site either type name of book or author and do search. I found it by doing author. Hope this helps!

According to Amazon.com, this book is out of print and its availability is limited. Your best bet, unless you're looking to own the book, would be to track it down through a public library. Check on Amazon.com, Ebay.com and Google has an archive of older books. You can also try a regular Google or Yahoo search for the title. Yahoo and Google have the most pages indexed of any of the search engines. You could also try a meta engine like MetaCrawler.com I'm Irish too. Good luck in your search.

Have you tried Ebay or cragislist? There is also a book club that exchanges books online but I'm not sure of the name. Try a Yahoo search. Good luck!

Ebay is always your friend...even if you cant find it on there right away...just keep looking for it, someone will end up selling it eventually.
