carbs. Funny enough, carbs in your diet are the easiest thing for your muscles to break down for exercising. The only time they are bad for you is if that is all you eat (overloading) or you eat them and don't exercise, then they are stored as fat. So if you eat pasta or bread within 24 hours of your workout, you should be fine. This is what atheletes do the nights before their races or games.

I like a bowl of oatmeal, prior to working out. However, if you're looking to burn more body-fat, exercise on an empty stomach.
I recently started using A.C.T. too. WOW! The best energy drink I've ever had.
