Melchisadek(Melchizedek, Melchizedek, I've seen it spelled many different ways) was a high priest (a priest of the most high God) whom Abraham gave tithes to after recieving a blessing at his hands and after administering bread and wine to Abraham(Genesis 14:18-20)
In the new testament (Hebrews 5) Talks about an order of the priesthood [priesthood authority] being named after him. In Hebrews 7 we read further about Abraham giving one tenth of all he had to Melchisedek and Paul, the Apostle further states this man's importance if the great Patriarch, Abraham paid tithes to this "priest of the most high God"
I personally can't infer from these passages that this person was the Spirit personage of Jesus Christ. He must have been a physical human being if he was administering bread and wine and receiving tithes among other things.
I have found that Jehovah of the old testament and Jesus of the new testament are one and the same.John 1:1-3
I hope this answers your question.
Feel free to write.

Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." The Hebrew people referred to God as I AM. So, you are correct that by saying the Jesus was saying he was God.
Melchizadek was not the spirit of Jesus. That is a somewhat common misunderstanding. A full explanation is too long to post here but is contained on the web page below.

Now, if Jesus existed before Abraham did, does not prove that he was God? NO!. Before Abraham was also Noah pbuh, Before Abraham was also Adam pbuh, Jesus didn't say before Adam.
The fact that Jesus was present before Abraham is not the same as him saying "worship me!"
The word 'Before' does not necessarily mean sequential in history. It can also be ahead or better. Or I am ahead of him.
How many people existed before Abraham? Millions or Billions?
(Hebrews 7:3) speaks about King Melchizedec, who were supposedly present not only before Abraham (pbuh), but also before all of creation? He has no father no mother. No beginning no end. Does that mean that he is God?
Prophet Solomon is reported in Proverbs 8:23-27, to have said, “23Ages ago I was set up at the first, before the beginning of the earth. 24When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water, 25Before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth; 26before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world 27When he established the heavens, I was there.”
Does that mean Prophet Solomon is also claiming divinity. No!

Melchizedek was real and not the Spirit of Jesus. The Word of God tells us that He and the Holy Spirit existed with God at the time of Creation as well.

Melchizedekis a character in the Old Testament who appeared in Genesis to the patriarch Abraham. He is called "king of Salem" (believed to be ancient Jerusalem) and "priest of the most high God" in Genesis 14:18.

I'm glad you read your Bible, but that is not true. Yes, Jesus did exist before descending from heaven, but he is not God.
In John 3:16 we read: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."
How can Jesus be both God and God's "only-begotten Son" at the same time? So if you are right, then Jesus sent himself to Earth and no God was present in heaven because he is here. In Jesus' famous sermon on the Mount, he said this: Matthew 6:9 “YOU must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified."" He is saying "Our Father in the heavens" but Jesus is on Earth. And why would he pray for himself?
No. It's not possible. Therefore (put simply), Jesus is God's son, and God is the Almighty, who created Jesus and everything else on this planet.

Some believe that, others think he could have been Shem (Noah's son). The Bible does not tell us that Jesus was Melchizedek, it says Jesus was a priest in the 'order' of Melchizedek. There is a big difference. But Jesus was present at creation, is a biblical fact.

Incorrect. he never said before abraham I was. He said before "Abraham, I am." Very bad grammar indeed if you take that as a quote and it means absolutely nothing in that context. It is more likely that something was deleted from the end of the sentence. If nothing was deleted from the end the statment would be I tell you this even before Abraham, God. A completely nonsensical statement.

Some people believe Melchizadek was the pre-incarnate Jesus, while others do not.
We'll never know; will we?
Actually, it says he was ruler of Salem. I can't imagine Jesus living before Abraham & then afterwards, too. Doesn't make sense.
