Please give reason for not going to Church

Yep, I am.

There isn't any church that teach the Word of God. Oh maybe a few verses then ranting or pontificating mans' words for 40 minutes. Church has become a stage show.

Besides everytime I study God's Word, I'm at church.

I believe in Jesus Christ but I dont go to church all the time. I go every now and again which is kinda pretty sad on my part but I dont go because I am lazy and I stay up late on Saturday nights and dont want to get up on Sunday morning but that does not mean that I am not a Christian. I do fellowship with others but not always at a building. The actual Church of Christ is inside the individual. I do worship with others when I feel the need to do so.

I'm still looking around for a church that isn't, as a friend calls it, a "7-11" (hymns with only 7 words that are sung over and over again 11 times.)

It also seems hard to find an exigetical church in the north Houston area, especially one that doesn't just preach "grace grace grace" each and every Sunday.

I grew up Catholic going to church every Sunday and if by some chance we didn't, we read out of the Bible and said prayers. When I started getting older I started to realize there were a lot of things that I did not agree with in the church. I still believe in God, Jesus, and all that jazz. I just want to be able to worship them my own way and I think that They hear me no matter if I am in a church or by myself.

I've tried going to Church. I've found that the Reverands don't preach what the actual Bible says. They just give their own twist on it. So I study the Bible on my own now. I read it everyday. Maybe if I find a legitimate Church with a good Reverand, I would consider going back.

I don't believe in organized religion. When people congregate, even if it began as a gathering of worship, there will always be some who want the power to "lead" them. I believe The Lord wants to lead us by way of us living our own spiritual life- not relying on others (priests/pasttors) telling us what and what not to do.
My church is nature, everything pure that God created.

I don't go to church. My husband is on call on the weekends, so we just can't go.

I don't have a home-church in my town, and we've never looked for one either.

most churches have rules of man and not God, they tell you what you can and can't do if you become a member and they also want their church to look better than the others, and who pays for it?

yes, I haven't found one I can call home. I would prefer a small study group but I haven't found one of those either.
