Yes it is illegal, but a good place to go and have a nice special is always Chili's its always 2 for 1. Don't let laws spoil your good time in North Carolina

Yep, daily specials. Which actually works out nicely if you don't make it to happy hour.
At least you don't have to be a "Member" to get in a bar anymore. That sucked! You either had to join the private club due to NC bible belt laws or ask someone to sign you in as a guest. It was a total pain in the butt.
Now that we have the lottery (in 2006) who knows what else is possible! Could we really join the rest of the country (Except some of the rest of the South) in the 21st century???

Yes, bars are not allowed to have an 'official' happy hour. They can only have 'daily' drink specials, but not hourly.
Thank the stuck up Southern Babtists for that.

There is no "Happy Hour" in NC. However, restaurants and bars can have daily drink specials.

Bars can no longer change there prices more than twice a day, The can be change once so obliterating happy hours.
