I have a big altar in my living room with photos of myself and candles and incense. I regularly take cats and kill them in sacrifice to myself, saying 'O mighty edsawyer please accept this gift'. I regularly pray that edsawyer will accept me, a worthless sinner, into the afterworld. I also pray for the souls of people like yourself who do not worship the deity edsawyer.

Worshiping myself gives my life great meaning.

I'm sure there are some atheists who are boring. Just like there are some Christians, Muslims, Pagans who are boring. And where do you get the idea that Atheists worship themselves?

You've fallen victim to two common misconceptions.

1. Atheists are boring, loveless, lifeless people. False.

We are people with as much love and poetry in our lives as any of the faithful. Having faith is by no means a prerequisite to having a full, meaningful life. You need to expand your worldview, interact with some of us and realize that we are people too.

2. Atheists worship something. False.

Yours is a new take on this and I wonder where you got it from. In no way do we worship ourselves any more than anyone else does. In fact, we don't worship anything.

i think atheists are interesting. The problem is there are no atheists. Everyone holds something higher than themselves, whether it be in a tradtioinal religion or not. Worshiping oneself is is very meaningless because people are limited. Who wants to worship something or someone that is flawed. One thing besides death that is ertaqin is failure and who wants to worship a failure.

I don't understand; how did you get the idea that we atheists worship ourselves? That doesn't make sense. Atheism does not consist of substituting something material for a deity. It simply is the lack of belief in something immaterial.
With all due respect, perhaps you ought to invest some time researching atheism and discovering what it really is, rather than just trusting the opinion of someone who obviously does not understand it.
Here's your first free clue: Just because I don't believe in a god or gods doesn't mean I don't hold anything sacred.

worshiping Myself is the best thing there is. it's great to adore Me, the beauty of Me, the intellect of Me, the greatness of Me.

the wholy Creature that is Me, is the greatest thing that ever was and will be.

i don't see how that could be boring.

i live, i change, i develop myself into a better human being on a daily basis. You worship a God, that doesn't change, is always the same, and never fails. How boring is that ?

Atheists don't worship themselves or anything else. And there's nothing boring about living in the real world.

I'm not an atheist, but it's a broad generalization to say they are boring. If atheists weren't here, you wouldn't have anyone to argue with. Then you'd be bored.

I find some atheists as well as some theists to be invigorating, with their different opinions, debates, facts and faiths. It can open a whole new perspective on my own beliefs.

It is up to you. You can choose you can either:

- be a atheist
- be (or become) a religieus person

Whether it is boring or not or whether a person is boring or not - that varies a lot from person to person.
