first off why is this question in entertainment and music and second off all, if you think about it cat food flavors are engineerd according to what we the people know the taste as. So theoretically we would have to eat mice to find out what that flavor is.

Have you ever seen a cat actually eat a mouse? No, they chase it and bring it home for their owners like a present. That's why.

Or for that matter, why isn't it bird flavoured? I have to agree, we are the ones who decided that our cats should eat what we eat. It must seem more 'civilized'. They are supposed to be domesticated, yet for all the taming we think we have done, they still hunt, don't they.

cats don't EAT mice. cats are predators by nature, and they like to hunt. cats will also hunt snakes and other small animals. mice just seems to be the most common.
