Okay,I have three points to make.Granted,I didn't refer back to your original question, but I don't think Dinosaurs existed concurrently with modern man.The bible doesn't refer to the meteor impact because no human was alive to report it,and I doubt we would be here today if we were.I don't think you can conceive of the destructive power of that event!Try this verse,"and the earth was without form, and void".Darkness ruled everything,as the natural equivalent of nuclear winter, the suspension of cubic miles of dust and water vapor in the atmosphere, blocked all sunlight, for as much as a century.
2.The only verses you might be referring to,regarding the concurrent existince of man and dinosaur, would be from Job,the references to behemoth and leviathan, are most often believed to be references to the Nile crocodile(which in this period often grew to 20 feet in length)to hippopatami,or to whales.Even in the medieval period, travelers tales of strange animals became exaggerated in retelling to create mythic beasts. If you are reading John, the Revelations, those are mystical beasts which represent things, not real.
3.I sure hope you read this as a serious answer.I think you're missing out on the point of Yahoo Answers if you Click "report abuse" on anything you don't want to hear.

The Bible nor science ever put human existance parallel to the dinosaurs.
The answer I got from my uncle (who is a adventist) when I asked him when I was 10 was that Satan put dinosaur bones there to tempt us to mistrust the word of God.
...but the theory I can live with is that the concept of time in Genesis is much different, so that seven days in the eyes of God could be millions of years to humans, and in that period before man was created dinosaurs were born and expunged. And because the bible was written by man, and man had no knowledge of the Dinosaurs, there's no way they could be written into the bible.
Or my third guess, there was some mention of it, but the Roman Catholic Church made sure it was burned to oblivion.

There is a possibility that dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible. The Leviathan description sounds something like a T Rex.
Behemoth sounds something like a brontosaurus. Read
Job 41: 1-34 and Job 40 :15-24
This is not positive proof but these creatures can't be positively identified with anything else.

Creationists suggest that most dinosaurs died as a result of the great flood described in Genesis 6-8. Dinosaur types which were preserved on the ark probably faced severe climate changes following the flood. Creation research continues to demonstrate the importance of the worldwide flood in explaining earth's history.
If your search for truth begins with an evolutionary view of history (for which there were no witnesses or written record), then this way of thinking will be used to explain the evidence that exists in the present. This will result in theories as the one you stated above (meteor).
If you begin with the biblical view of history, then a totally different way of thinking, based on this, will be used to explain the same evidence. Science has no answer for the origins of life (only theories) and the facts of science line up quite well with the Biblical account of life's orgins.

It seems that they did exist or did not exist, depending on who you listen to. But, as you mention, IF man and dinosaur existed together, the answer to your question regarding their extinction would be the BIBLE's account of the universal or worldwide flood.

Well....I have taken a class on this and truly believe that when God flooded the Earth, that is when the Dinosaurs died. Now you may ask, well wouldnt Noah have taken them. The answer to that could be that because the climate was forever changed after the flood, the dinosaurs would not of survived so it is possible that they were not taken.

Working in an in sufferer Hospital Hospice unit gave me a standpoint I might by no means have noticeable or else. A common remark via different nurses used to be that this sort of labor triggered them to now not worry dying. Only my religion tells me WHERE you cross after dying however my enjoy tells me much more than that. First of all there's no doubt in any respect that there's correctly an afterlife. Most of my sufferers spent their final hours transitioning among 2 worlds. Some would say they have been most effective hallucinating however the consistency of the conversation from sufferer to sufferer could turn out or else. I am pleased to mention that during the ones years I most effective witnessed 2 deaths that have been very traumatic in a religious means. Those sufferers struggled with dying and the ache they skilled used to be very unsettling. But the bulk have been very peaceable and the only factor for definite approximately each and every whether or not peaceable or unsettling used to be that every one used to be really guided to the following "global" with an attendant. Just as we're by no means on my own at the same time we tread this planet we can by no means be on my own for eternity, this I realize for distinct.

Why bible doesn't mention about dinosaurs?? it's simle. 1st dinosaurs extincted way way before. 2nd they didn't have knowledge and possibilites to studdy that.
3rd bible is a book that was translated and censored way to much times so it could fit to politics and stuff so i think it is not even reliable book now.
BTW for peeps who didn't know much about how we get here who made us and other evolution stuff the easiest way was to claim that god made us. Who knows maby someday i will write a book and i will claim there that i am god and new religion will be born in about let say 1000 years or so :D
