Well, it seems that the general public is in shape, but, maybe it is just those that are up this early, and actually have a computer? We'll see, more answers coming in.

Now I can - I had never run before this year and I joined a group called Team In Training - they actually train you to run in a marathon within a few months time. It's a set regimen and they build you up to running slowly.
I'm not professing to be a fast runner - purpose of our training was endurance not speed. Still, it was a great program.

Yes, I can easily run 2 miles. The farthest I have ever run at once is 7 miles a few years ago in middle school cross country practice, but I generally only do about 3 miles when I go running.

Sure, I ran 5.5 miles this morning before you rolled out of bed and I am not in the army. Treadmills are for days when it is below zero. I am out there almost every day of the year regardless of weather / temperature.
I usually hit about 25 - 30 miles a week. I'd do more, but I am somewhat injury prone, and that's about my tolerance for mileage.
Longest run has been about 13 miles (recently) -- I've done more in the past (18 - 20). I do race in amateur races as well, usually 5K (3.1 miles) and 10Ks (6.2 miles).

What a ridiculous question. There are many people who run 2+ miles without stopping. A person in average physical shape can run a mile in 6-7 minutes....so that means running for less than 15 minutes.....I know many people who run for 45 minutes without stopping. This is not a herculean feat!

Sure, 2-3 miles a day, then sometimes umpire a couple of games in the evenings. But I don't run the day before I have a hockey game.

My husband and I recently decided to get in shape. He started small but just hit the two mile run mark.

Yes, I am a runner, too. I can run 2 miles + either on a treadmill or outside.

No I can't.
People, the second part of the question is being ignored by most people. She is Army and just wants to know if other people have problems with TREADMILLS.
