In my studies I have encountered several arguements against the Mormon church which are just awful, and likely to embarass the accuser if he is caught at it. One example is the following...
There is an arguement that the concept of God in the Book of Mormon and in the Doctrine and Covenants is different. The Book of Mormon says God is a spirit and the doctrine and covenants says he has a body.
Alma 18:26-28 And then Ammon said: Believest thou that there is a Great Spirit? And he said, Yea. And Ammon said, This is God.
Doctrine and Covenants 130:22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of spirit...
At first glance it appears to be a contradiction, but it isn't because the scripture in Alma was believed to have happened about 90 years before Christ took upon himself flesh and came to earth, thus he should have been a spirit.

I also have an argument....why is it that the Mormons did not allow African Americans to sit in their funky little churches until the late 60s, saying it was the word of God? If what you claim is the word of God, why is it that one minute you make Him all powerful and the next you make Him change His word? Why one minute African Americans are beneath you and the next you say that it is allowed for them to worship along side you. The word of God dose not and I repeat dose not change with the times.

"Believest thou that there is a Great Spirit?" Ammon had to give the king an understandable example of God.if you look in the verses 24 and 25 King Lamoni didn't know what Ammon was talking about when he said "God" So Ammon took the Kings believes as a foundation for his teachings.

i don't believe they should be done away with, if you really have such a brilliant argument against it, sit the person down and talk to him about it ask him why he thinks (blank) and then respond, if you don't have the answer say i don't know that one let me get back to you on that, if hes really interested he will wait. its a very good way of evangelizing, I'm not Mormon i think that it is possible that an angel came down to talk to... don't remember his name... the founder... well I'm sure you all know, I find the religion interesting if you people could sit me down and defend against every attack i could think of i would most likely look into being converted. but there is no defense for every attack, some people have pointed out a vast majority of them, but what about the verses in the bible that say whether it be spreads a man or angel whoever spreads a gospel other than this one, shal be etternally condemned, this message is not from man it is from Jesus Christ"paraphrased Galatians 1:8-12" theres more i can think of but I'm not on here to debate, I'm just here to say that maybe you should sit them down, consider their side before you formulate your defense i almost always see a blind defense in the Mormon church that just throws up more walls. you need less walls not more if what you seek to do is expose the truth to the world,

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon), I have heard all kinds of ridiculous statements and arguments about church doctrine. Most of these comments come from people who are scared to death of things they don;t understand and aren't interested in knowing the truth. Don't waste your time worrying about it, I certainly don't.

Shouldn't people who attempt to force their beliefs on others be done away with?

Take this advice from a mormon... Please don't concern yourself with what others think about you or your beliefs. It won't get you anywhere.
