here we go again 5yrs for a man who sexually assualted a three year old?

i am so sick of this country (uk) and there leniant sentancing...As a parent I have wrote to my MP to ask for the judges who give out these sentances to be sacked...I hope many more of you will do the same ..you can now e.mail your MP or direct to the house of commons..I hope im not alone in this mission..it takes about five mins to do this..

i totally agree with you he should have got at least 10 to 15 years minimum but please none of this lets torture them and the like because then we become a little more like them then.and that's the one thing we don't want is to go down to there level. and yes I'm going to send an email to my mp about this thanks

To J.G. -- It's hard to raise your children if you're in jail. Crappy as it is, this is the main reason why parents typically don't exact their revenge on the perpetrators. The only alternative would be to let the justice system do what it's supposed to do.

I can't speak of what happens in the UK...but in the US, a lot of child molesters that end up in prison usually get some form of comeuppance when it's learned what they're in for.

I do agree, though....child molestors and convicted pedophiles should serve longer terms that just 5 years. If you think about it, equal justice would be life without parole, since their vicitims will have to live with the abuse they suffered for the rest of their lives.

Good luck in your mission. Ultimately, I think the public is going to have to band together and be heard as one voice before any real changes will be seen.

Couldn't agree with you more but this is not new stuff. I worked in a children's home about 25 years ago and one of the staff was abusing kids - believe me you don't want the details. He got about three years and was out sooner because he'd been in custody for 18 months before the trial. I am now a parent myself and I cannot understand why these evil people (because some people really ARE just evil, not "sick" or "abused in their own lives") are tolerated to the extent they are. Seems their human rights are far more important than those of their victims. It's a shame on our society, we should hang our heads in disgrace.

I have a 2 year old daughter and if someone did something like that to her, I wouldn't call the cops because I would take care of it myself by torturing the sick SOB. The government is too lenient on these people and a few years in prison isn't going to do unless they are killed there. They should be tortured and treated like crap.

I would tie him up in a basement of an abandon house and snip off his penis a little at a time and singe it so he wouldn't bleed to death and I would do this everyday so that he may go through this pain until he died.

Anybody agree?

I agree even here in the U.S. sentencing is to lenient. That 3 yr old has been damaged for the rest of its life. The state will label him as sick and give him consoling but will do nothing for the child. That is mom and dad's problem. I think anyone who commits a crime against a child should locked away for life.

i am still waiting for these miscreants to be given death here in the states.it seems to me that childmolesters get lighter sentences than most. however in the prison system here in the states other inmates could be a child molesters worst nightmare.(they are often times targeted for beatings by their fellow inmates)
i am also a parent i have a 12 yr old daughter, and it terrifies me everytime she goes out of the house. when it comes to children and the elderly i think that if the government and legal system doesnt want to "fix" the problem then vigilante justice should be allowed.

I have a 1 and a 3 yr old, and if either gets sexually assaulted, I will perform my own justice without a blink of an eye. The question is why do parents let their gets get sexually assaulted and not take matters into their own hands . Why rely on a jury ?

It is horrible and sad! I would like to see a prison...somewhere on an island, like purgatory where we send them all for life. Let them take care of each other. Why we ever turn them back into society I do not know! It is a fact child molesters can not be healed they will repeat just when is the question.Thank you for you insight and thoughts!

We have the same issue in Ohio. Problem is, the jails are so overcrowded that the system must weigh who gets the time and who doesnt. More violent offenders get the jail time. And it sucks that the sicko's know this. I say ship 'em off to Iraq if they have no where to jail them before sending our law biding boys.

peadophiles have no place on this earth. they should be taking to a hospital- have thier heart,lungs,liver and what ever else removed and donated to those worthy of themwho deserve to live.and whats left cremated and forgotten about.

after reading a hampshire police doctor was a peodophile and has been locked up for his crimes against children and then to find out a top judge in hampshire was downloading child porn, im not sure who you can trust in this matter anymore.

Im in the US and it sucks here too. I think these sickos that molest children should be castrated in the middle of town for everyone to see. Its a sad day to realize that more and more men are doin this. And women arent to far behind. I think women should get more jail time as well
