Yeah one flower is fine not too full on.
But i wouldnt go for a rose. A gerbra or a lilly would be best. Roses mean love so I dont think that its appropriate for a first date.
Gerberas means beauty
Lillies mean purity
Rose
A single rose of any color in full bloom means "I love you." Two roses put together to form a single stem means an engagement. Stem leaves are a symbol of hope.
Dont tell her shes a beautiful flower. That sounds so sleazy.
Trust me I used to be a florist.

that is actually the most appropriate gift on a first date, make sure they are fresh and nicely wrapped, if a bundle, if it is only one flower, it should be along stem red rose and should be as fresh as it can get, and tell her "a beautiful flower for an even more beautiful flower" make sure you look in to their eyes and sound sincere and honest. Because girls could tell. This will shake them to their core, at lease some of them.
