They use it to 'explain' thier bible to them. They have articles in there to show them where "Christians are wrong" on many things, like JESUS is not the SON of GOD, that HE is an Angel, (Michael), instead of the SON of GOD, chosen to bring Salvation unto the World.
When I heard that, I thought, how far off left base they are and I pray for them to find the truth.
But, the LORD has to put it in thier hearts to find it, and come to HIM, not I, I can only plant the seeds, and let HIM nurture and make them fgrow.
I wish you well..

Such an argument is anti-Witness slander.
Jehovah's Witnesses are serious students of the bible. They use a wide range of translations in their personal study, and to prepare for their field ministry. At their five hours of congregation meetings each week, only one hour considers a bible-based article from The Watchtower but even during that meeting every significant Scriptural point is read from the bible directly. At all the meetings, the congregation is encouraged to and actually does read aloud from bible verses as part of their participation in the meeting; the congregation member often is free to select and read whatever verse he feels is appropriate to the subject being discussed from the platform.
While in their door-to-door ministry, any householder who wishes to continue a discussion using only the Scriptures without any Witness literature is absolutely accommodated. Even schoolchildren among Jehovah's Witnesses know their bibles well enough to discuss and defend their faith using no other tools than the Bible itself.
Well, the Holy Spirit might help too!
Does every member of your congregation keep a bible in his hand and reference it throughout your meetings? Does every member of your congregation use the bible in his personal door-to-door ministry? If not, then clearly your religion has much to learn from Jehovah's Witnesses.
(2 Timothy 3:16,17) All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

No.The Watchtower magazine is a bible aid,as are so many other wonderful publications available.
The Bible is the standard for our beliefs, and the counsel contained in it is applied in our daily life's.It is a part of our life.
As part of our ministry,we do offer the Watchtower magazine to individuals,as it contains invaluable bible based information. And is full of scriptures to back up what has been printed. We also offer various other publications in our door to door work. These too,are all bible based, full of scriptures to back up what is printed.
But no,the Bible remains the only reference and source that Jehovah's Witnesses use to preach to others about our great God Jehovah
I may just add that you will hear alot of incorrect information about Jehovahs Witnesses.Jesus said that his followers would be hated, just as He was.
So unless you take directly to one of Jehovahs people,I would take what you hear with a grain of salt.

The Watchtower, vendors to the rights of the NWT, are - if no longer legally - a minimum of morally absolute to never launch the names of the translators. The translators of the NWT released the rights of the NWT to the Watchtower lower than the condition that they stay nameless, even after death. So those who press the Watchtower to launch the names of the translators are encouraging them damage Jesus' command to allow your "definite" recommend "definite," and your "No, no." so it quite is that. it quite is why they are nameless. because the NWT translators are nameless and could stay nameless, that's ridiculous that critics save urgent JWs to launch the names of the translators. And this can be a fallacy of diversion, because that understanding who the translators are is irrelevant to the accuracy of the NWT. You made yet another mistake: while some former JWs have "released" the names of the NWT's translators, all they stated replaced into that the "translators" had no formal preparation in biblical languages, except for human being who had some preparation. You took that to symbolize "not one of the "Bible translators" knew some thing about Biblical Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic." it quite is a fallacy, because that "no formal preparation in biblical languages" does no longer equate with "no longer understanding the biblical languages." You made yet another mistake: THE COLONEL did not record who the students were that recommend the NWT. You took that to symbolize "even the alleged scholarly ENDORSERS of the NWT are nameless." yet, which couldn't what replaced into stated. One NON-nameless Greek student who says the NWT is better precise than the most customary Bible translations is Jason Beduhn.

I'm not sure about this, however, we had some JW's come to our door and one of them handed me a Watch Tower, and started quoting from their bible (not my bible) and it was related to a story on the front of the magazine.

Yes and no. They use the Bible, but they use their magazine as a "certified spiritual reference," in the same way that Catholics use the Catechism and Protestants use their "Amplified Bible" (they count the footnotes, written in the 1800's or later, as scripture).
