Could be bed bugs... not ants... Replace the mattress for the pack and play... Bed bugs LIVE in mattresses and you can get rid of them unless you get rid of the mattress.

There are so many possibilities as to what is wrong with your son. He could be getting bit by something or it could be an allergic reaction to something else. I would make an appointment with his pediatrician to have it checked out. Also, the pack and play is not a major problem. All children should be sleeping on a firm mattress but as long as he is sleeping then I guess there is no need to get too excited.

Well my son is 13 months and he sleeps in a pack n play. so I don't think it is bad. It could be ants or fleas biting him. spray the house for them both and see if that helps.

I just got bit last night by ants and I didn't think they looked like the kind that bites but they were so you should check on it cause you may be right it could be ants.

First, even though he's in a pack and play I would check for bed bugs (that doesn't mean you're dirty or anything like that), also spiders. When my son was little he was bitten by a spider while he was sleeping and it looked like a golf ball under his skin. As for the pack and play, as long as it's safe I guess although he probably should be sleeping on a good supportive mattress.

Could be spiders. They usually look like what you are describing.Check all around his room, even under furniture. As for the pack, and play... as long as he is comfortable, go for it! My son slept in his til he was 9 mo's. Although, maybe if you put him in his crib, he will be farther from the floor, and maybe not get bitten by whatever is biting him.

may be ants, or roach, bedbugs, mites, fleas,,fumeagate and leave for 24 hour, to give it lots of time to kill what ever it is, then go back in and wash all the linen and clothes

I think it could be the ants and that you shouldn't disregard the possiblity. Ask a doctor what it could be...

could be the washing powder you are using, or it could be bed bugs, try washing all the bedding in a washing powder for sensative skin and see if that works
