basically god always wants you to try helping yourself first as best as you can then pray to him. after that? patientce and have faith ;)

God is helping you by waking you up every morning, by allowing you to have family and friends.
NOW what ever issues that you are dealing with and you feel like GOD is not helping you... He is helping you, He is just not giving you what you want. The Lord will listen and hear, He will provide and remove.

Does that make sense??? If you want to start to lose weight and you are asking God, "Please help me loose weight, I have low self-esteem and I am not proud of my image" However, you continue to eat unhealthy, not exercise and do harmful things to your body... WHY would He want to help you? If you are not willing to take that first step, that initial step to say... I am trying, please walk with me! I am TRYING please pace my stride.
Be realistic in what you ask and wish for? Be patient in receiving your blessings.
Even though He is the All Knowing and Seeing, He does have many to care for and look after. Do not tell the Lord what you want, He doesnt do demands, pray to the Lord with Faith and Honesty. Do you really think you can come with unjust prayers, He knows what you are going to pray about before you get on your knees, be Truthful with your Lord. He will provide for you.

If you mean Almighty God, then this answer is for you. God looks at everyone but doesn't lavish His love on people who have not solicited the love. If you want God's attention you've got to attract Him in all sincerity and faith.

you might not think that god is helping you, but what he is doing for you is going to turn out just the way he planned and he plans things better for your life that you do sometimes. you just have to trust him **everything will be alright in the end, so if its not alright then its not the end**

He is, he's helping you build tolerance life isn't about having things handed to you, it's about learning the importance of earning what you have otherwise you cannot fully appreciate it. Struggle is therapy.

Everyday I prayed to God to help me win the lottery, everyday nothing......
After three years of praying every day for God to help me win the lottery, I heard a big booming voice, "Everyday you have prayed to me for help to win the lottery, PLEASE for my sake meet me half way, BUY A TICKET".
so it seems if you want help you have to at least meet him half way.

If you feel like, GOD helps you, he means that, HE IS WITH YOU.
If you feel like, GOD looks at you, he means that, YOU CAN TACKLE THE SITUATION BUT IF ANY HELP NEEDED HE IS THERE.
If you feel like, GOD doesnt care about you, he means that, YOU CAN DO THE WORK YOURSELF WITHOUT HIS HELP.
