The war in Iraq will end when the new Iraqi government can maintain what we have built for them. It does no good to pull out if the Iraqi Army and governement isnt ready to shoulder the load. If we leave before that time then we will have to come back and clean up the mess again. If we had eliminated the problem in 1991 then we wouldn't be here now. But we listened to the infinite wisdom of the United Nations.

It will continue may be up to the end of the world, because it create strong tention(dislike) of westerners in the hearts of Middle Easterners. And this will make them to be taking revenge by what ever way/mean possible, and this will make the war to continue.
Second reason is that those who are warlike people that causes all these miseries and massacre have no intention of allowing middle east to have peace forever. They dont like peace at all, they always want to see people dying, houses demolished, steal oil, etc.
History will never forgive them. They are responsible for the tragedies of Hiroshima and Nagazaki during the second world war. Vietnam is also another bloodshed field. And now in Afganistan, Iraq, and likely Iran, possible Syria and the rest of others. These people do not like peace at all. They always like killing people(wars).
But now they have plant the seed of terrorism which is not like Japan (that can be bombarded with nuclear weapon and surrender). Terrorists are everywhere in the world, just looking for a chance to attack at any given time. They will never surrender or give up. Have you heared that in the history of war against terrorism, even if they are going to liquidated, will never give up.
If to say terrorism is eradicated, the whole world must be bombarded and from then Americans will be safe.

Sometime after Bush leaves office which is not before 2008 unfortunately. Hopefully, the next administration wont be as greedy and have enough fortitude to end this senseless war. Bush has tried and failed to provide and prove his decision to go to war with Iraq. Where are the WMD? Where is the terrorist link to 9/11? Should I say more?

When politics takes complete control. War is merely politics with no rules. All war is political.
Give it six to twelve months. So far all the terrorists have achieved is strengthening a coalition of former enemies into being determined democracy and government will work. That is no small miracle.
