i can challenge you all believers who beleive in the so called superpower(God) has never existed ,doesnt exist and will never exist , the human race is evolved through animals i.e monkeys and just evolved with a more functioning brain than the rest of the animal kingdom , but still his instincts are of the animals , just study the animal kingdom and our life and will get ur answers ,

so just as a warning to all the time wasters just stop wasting money and time on religions and live ur life logically as in the end the humans are the ones who are going to punish u 4 the bad deeds and not God , want ur comments for this one and dont be surprised to get punished even if u dont do a bad deed as ur are born with an animal brain and nothing follows logic in the animal world and stop blaming or cheering god for bad and good things respectively......Period

First, as you are reading this e-mail you can only be reading this e-mail in the way you are and you cannot be otherwise.

(Correct? this is true by the scientific law of noncontradiction.)

Then, your computer can only be your computer in the way it is. And your eyes can only be your eyes looking at the computer just in the way they are. In fact, the place where you are can only be the place where you are in so far you're reading this e-mail just the way that you are doing right now.
Further more, you can only be reading this e-mail because I read your question and because i'm writing this just the way I am and I cannot be otherwise.

So you see, we all depend on each other to exist just the way we are. Then the QUESTION becomes DOES this e-mail makes you to be reading this e-mail. The answer is obviously NOT. Does the computer being the way it is makes your eyes to be reading this e-mail? NO.

Here you can see that although we all exist just in the way we are because of everything else that sourrounds us, everything else that surround us does not give us our existance.

So if we are a world that turns together with each other, but at the same time we do not cause each other into existance, then who causes our existance.

Here you see, that when it comes down to it, evolution has very little to do with anything. We all can very well have evolved from monkeys, but who or what made the earth to exist in the first place. Furthermore, who made the universe or anything that exist to exist.

If your think that it was just chance, then were does chance comes from. SO YOU SEE, our maker has to be infinite and eternal, and this BEING CAN BE CALLED BY ANY NAME.

If evolved monkeys can figure out the days the earth has existed, then why do they come up short a Day? The answer is in Gods word, Joshua 10; 12-14 (God stopped the earth for a whole day).

i'm not a god believer either... BUT, if we evolved from monkeys... why are there still monkeys? i always wondered that... i also wanted to point out that you will NEVER convince someone that NEEDS TO believe in god that there isn't one! when i have a bad day and none of my friends are home to call :) i can see the attraction to people believing in something bigger. THINK ABOUT IT, when you feel so small and insignificant wouldn't it be great to think someone BIG, POWERFUL, IMPORTANT, ALL KNOWING, ALWAYS RIGHT WITH ALL THE ANSWERS, was just sitting around waiting for you to ask for help, assistance, guidance? then i laugh and go back to reality. i was raised in the church, so i know the entire speel... it just left me with more questions than answers... i'm not a blind faith kink of person i guess. i have found that a person is spending useless time convincing anyone to feel the same as themselves in regards to religion... AND, why do we feel the need to have others agree with us anyhow? believe what you want to believe and be proud of that and allow others the same luxury of being proud of what they believe in. and if there is a heaven and hell afterall... doing good deeds every day and being the best person we can be by our own guidance would be good enough to make the upward trip :)

The argument does exist for both sides of this question. However you wish to believe is your right and privilege. Having said that let me say this IT'S IS BETTER TO HAVE BELIEVED IN GOD DURING YOUR LIFE AND FIND OUT AFTER DEATH THAT HE DOES NOT EXIST THAN TO HAVE NOT BELIEVED IN HIM AND FIND OUT AFTER DEATH THAT HE DOES EXIST. This life was never meant to be easy even though some are born to privilege and money they struggle and have just as many problems as those who work hard every day just to survive. The cutting edge is within your own mind to rise above your adversities and become all that you are capable of being to believe that you do that with no spiritual help is both ignorant and foolish for who among us could have created the simplest of things that we take for granted and to have created it all accidentally is just as incomprehensible to a believer as those unbelievers believing that their closest relative is a monkey. If that were the case why on earth would you want to evolve into the pitiful conditions that humans create for themselves when you had the idyllic life of a primate

You have to understand that statements like "Just study the animal kingdom and our life and you will get your answers" are, to the religious, essentially the same thing as "Just read and understand the word of God and you will get your answers" are to you.

I was saddened to read the gross misunderstandings and misrepresentations of evolution held by some of the bible / Quran -quoters in answers above. But then I realize, statements like this original Yahoo! question aren't much better.

You've fallen, in my opinion, on the right side of this 'argument' - but I think that we as nontheists are inherently bound to a high standard of proof. Remember, from the religious person's point of view, we are essentially arguing directly against the word of God at some points. That's a pretty damned high barrier to breach.

And so, I'd suggest that more good can be done by moving away from this kind of confrontational statement. If you want to open a few minds and change a few hearts, this kind of statement isn't going to accomplish it, as it shows no understanding of where "they"re coming from - it seems to just be designed to inflame already standing passions, which invariably brings out the worst in everyone - I fail to see the point.

One entertaining answer, from "hillbilly_momma" posed the interesting suggestion that the bible said the world was round by alluding to the "circle of the earth." Momma, we're talking about a sphere here, not a circle. You get together with your "circle of friends," and people have always looked "all around" themselves, which in no way implies a sphere. No dear, those tribesmen knew nothing about geography or astronomy, which is why Joshua thought he was stopping the sun from orbiting the earth by raising his hand - among other absurdities.

Science itself prove that God Exists. Scientists search for the explainations of things that have not be proved. They come up with hypothesis and theories daily. A hypothesis is nothing but faith or belief that something "is" until it can be proven otherwise. for a time people thought that the earth was the center of te universe. how wrong were we about that. Everyday we learn something new or discover what we thought we new is completely wrong. Einstein believed in God because of science. Some of the greatest scientific minds are church goers. Science and God can exist together because science explains how something happens God explains why something "is".

i agree to your views on revolution but as you agree there is some super power with some super brains who has evolved man by his powers you also agree that even animals are evolved through this process
a man is much more social then animals and as such we cannot go to jungles and its laws we have to behave as per our status of a human being once we loose our identity everything will be lost there will be no difference between animal kingdom and humans we will be tamed by some others like bullocks etc. and we will have to listen to their orders
