We react to the same thing, or the same situation differently. Yet, I still would like to ask people out there what bothers them most. People being insensitive? People cutting you short all the time? Or people being loud?

I try not to be "insensitive" to all people I meet.

I try to understand if they are having a bad day, then they may need to "vent" on some one and I have broad shoulders to listen to thier troubles.

If they are cutting me short, then they have so much to say, and cant find enough time in which to say it, or that I am boring them to tears and its best for me to shut up an listen to what they have to say. Or, make myself more interesting and knowledgeable so that they will "want" to listen to me.

People being loud, could be a hearing deficiency, and may need to have hearing aides, but may not be able to afford them or think that there is stigma attached to people with them on and so they dont know how loud they sound, or, are around people who were hard of hearing and have talked that way for years, and dont know any other ways of talking!

(yep, I have a relative that shouts all the time, but his mother was half deaf, and couldnt hear anyone, so, when she passed away, he continued to shout to everyone even after all these years... I ask him to tone it down because I can hear him fine...he does for awhile until he forgets, then I gently ask him again.. it works out fine)...

All we have to be is more understanding to everyone, and think of all the disabilities that can be seen and unseen, and we would know each others situation and wanted to be treated kindly by others...

I wish you well..

Jesse

Since becoming a born again Christian four years ago, I seriously try not to let anything bother me. The Bible says that we are to turn the other cheek at any offense, and I strive each day to do that. I'm not saying that I actually accomplish this, but I try.

What really bothers me the most is when people behind me drive too closely. 99% of the time I have my children in the car with me, and if I would ever have to brake suddenly, the rear end of the car would be gone. It's not really an annoyance but a fear, I reckon. Your question has made me realize that instead of doing what I'm supposed to do as a Christian and pray for these people, I end up calling them names under my breath. Thank you.

people being insensitive--because in the best of us there is a little bad and in the worst of us there is a little good, no man is an island we are all in this for the long haul and to not share each others sensitivity allowing for each others faults and reaching to give a hand up is probably the biggest failing of today's insensitive population

The only thing I have real issues with is ignorance.

There's no reason for anyone to lack enough basic information to function in today's society. Regardless of age, education and wisdom from experience is available to each. It just takes the will to learn.

I just dislike most people. My rats have a higher intelligence than most. And a better sense of humour. :)

But out of those three you asked.....my most bother would be people cutting me short all the time.

Celebrities who want to preach to me about their political philosophy. I don't care if you are republican or dem, left or right, or what you think about the war or the ozone layer. If you want to save the world, DO IT ON YOUR OWN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I respect your right to an opinion, SO RESPECT MINE!!. Did you ever consider that some of us might have a different view? Do you even care? If I am spending my money to help support you, I want you to do your job, then SHUT UP! You are not my social conscience and I don't need your condescending rant..............

Being broke. Those other things you mentioned are other peoples problems so I don't let them bother me. I just ignore the ignorant.

Insensitivity is the biggest problem we have. Then again, we have people posing rhetorical questions on this site, don't we ?
