By religious people, I'm assuming you mean Christians. And still going with that assuming theme, why do you assume that all "religious" people have the idea that atheists are empty, unhappy and immoral? I can't say anything about the first two because those are purely emotional states, but the immorality portion can be answered. It's not just atheists who are immoral. It's everyone. According to the Bible, we're all sinners and need the grace and mercy of God. Check out the poem When I Say I Am A Christian by Maya Angelou. She explains it way better than I can.

Some atheist are empty.unhappy and immoral. Some religious people are empty, unhappy, and immoral. I have had moments that I felt truly empty. I have had times in life where I felt very unhappy. There are things that i have done that others will call immoral. Who hasn't had these times in their lives? If they haven't then they missed out on some experiences.

I don't know. I guess they hope Atheists are unhappy so that there would be a reason for them to bring "God" to them. Immoral because they honestly believe that it is only their God that makes laws. People love to make assumptions about others based on generalizations of a group they may be a part of, even if in name only.

And Hillbilly, READ THE QUESTION... he did say Some, Not All. Your rant is... well... not very intelligent since you didn't read the question to begin with.

I don't think athiest are any different really. Just without God.

I have a friend who is an atheist, and she is super nice & always someone I have been happy to call a friend. She is very moral, and has a beautiful family.

Thank you for saying "not all". I am so tired of people generalizing about religious people.

we are no longer cautioned by potential of church leaders and not ALL Christians try this. i've got faith that some (no longer all) Atheists are unhappy because of the fact I see them eating, smoking, and doing drugs. in case you have been rather and carefully chuffed, you does no longer choose any of those aspects that could be useful you thru popular. Christ did no longer choose, this is what a brilliant style of individuals do (the two Christian and Non.) in case you seeking to connect any faith, or get to appreciate any faith, you will desire to learn extra beneficial than purely one section. I grew up the place Christians have been hypocritical and intensely judgmental. seeing that I actual have moved I actual have chanced on what Christianity is actual approximately... compassion for others. purely concept i'd upload this tale because of the fact I actual have been by way of plenty and have finally chanced on a superb welcoming church and have grown adequate to take my faith the place ever God sends me.

My tutor is an atheist and I have a lot of respect for him. With there being 13 campus religions groups and all.

From their god. Their god tells them that everyone must belong to their religion, otherwise they won't be saved. So they feel they're doing us a favor by forcing us to convert. Like forcing an anorexic to eat.

Funny, I just got this explained to me last night by an atheist.

I don't think all atheists are unhappy, but they lack sense of spirituality. They think everything is built on science..Well let me tell you this:
We can see effects of love and friendship, but we can't SEE them. Does that erase the fact that they exist?

I thought atheists had more fun than Christians and it didn't really matter because they felt like they were happy and using good morals.

That is what is promoted by religious leaders, since people of faith are not encouraged to think for themselves, this is what they parrot.
