I am sorry about your parents. That's a very bad double loss. However, I don't think they would want you to continue to be sad. Instead of concentrating on their deaths why not celebrate they're lives instead. Did you mom have a favorite recipe? Cook that for a special occasion. Did your Dad play or follow a particular sport then why don't you play that sport or follow his team? If you still can't shake the sadness it would be best if you visited a therapist. Good luck.

A person never forgets, those thoughts will remain with you through the years.
With each passing day, month and year as you grow older and more things start happening in your life, you won't think about your parents as much as you do know.
You will not love them any less only be occupied and you may have a thought run through you head and then it to shall pass.
So changes the feeling to wanting to forget to wanting to remember the great memories you both shared together.
I can't imagine how you feel as I still have both my parents and thank god for my mom each and everyday. (don't get along with dad)
When you feel sad think happy thoughts, when you feel down, remember the fun times you shared.
Call a friend, go out to eat with other family members. If you have siblings it is time to make a bond closer.
Best of luck to you. Thoughts and prayers to you too :)

First, I as sorry for your losses. Do not even attempt to forget your parents. Treasure the memories you have of them. The best healer of loss is time. When your loss is new, it is raw and painful. Time has a tendency to dull the ache and bring the more positive memories to the fore. You must, however, live on. Your parents would not want you to wallow in sorrow or self pity, because they loved you and would want you to have a happy and productive life. Give their memory the respect it deserves by taking a deep breath, saying goodby for the last time and LIVE!!!!! God bless you.

Don't try to forget......instead...remember your life with them and do something that will keep those memories alive....plant flowers in their honor or make a scrapbook.....
I dont believe you will ever forget because death although seeming cruel is a part of life that we are forced to deal with.......use it to make you stronger and live the way they would have wanted you to......make them proud.

I am sorry to hear this but the truth is you cant forget you can only use it as an opportunity to work harder and dedicate yourself to doing something you enjoy doing and something you are sure would make them proud wherever they are and also something that would improve your life style.
All the best !!!
