dont bother with him for a while, dont phone him or meet him, he'll realise how crap it is without you, im not saying ignore him but be really casual about everything... if he causes a fuss just tell him you needed a break from someone with such attitude... you've said sorry and he's obviosely supposed to have forgiven you so why he treating you like this, what else can you do!

I would need more information, but your brief description paints a picture of a couple in conflict and uncertainty, where you try to smooth things over. To be sorry is to say you were or are unhappy about your actions or contributions to the conflict. It makes perfect sense to women, and we would accept your apology. But men don't apologize or understand apologies when offered. A man wants to know that he is successful and has made and is making you happy! Sorry says sad, not happy. He wants admiration for his accomplishments, especially when they help you; he wants appreciation for all he does to make you happy, and he wants trust. These are his happy making buttons. Sorry ain't in his vocabulary.

A couple apologies are fine, but you have to draw the line somehwere. If he's copping an attitude, then that's just a head game

I was in a similar position myself not long ago. I don't think it helped. When a person gets in that self righteous mode, they are the only ones who can come out of it. Perhaps you are better off just leaving it alone.

Just give him time. He needs to get over it more than you. Saying sorry over and over just brings it up again. be patient and supportive, won't be long.

If you said sorry once that's enough anything after that is simple emotional blackmail. If he can't past it then let him know it's time for a change.
