I also have gout....you can't eat rich foods. In other words, nothing that comes out of a drive thru window, no sweets and no red meats. Basically, if it tastes good, avoid it. Eat as many veggies (esp raw) as you can. Eat LEAN meats such as turkey and chicken. NOTHING fried, not even veggies. If you like breads, have one piece and send the rest back. No butter! Margarine is better. You have to cut back on animal fats. If it comes from an animal or is fried in animal fat, you'll suffer gout. For 4 months cut out all you can of what you love (fried foods, red meat, butter, sugars, etc). If you have gout, which I do as well, if you want it, pass on it or have a small portion of one item and eat right the rest of the meal.

If the doctor is giving you any kind of medicine I am pretty sure It will not harm you or your baby. I was so Nausea's my in tire last tri-mester and I would throw everything up it was awful. One thing that helped me was with the upset stomach is that I would take one Tums, (the high calcium ones) right before I would eat, and it would help me hold it down. Eat light stay away from real fatty foods, try to eat salads, and allot of fruit, and all all through out the day, just little bits at a time. I also tried to take my prenatal vitamins at different times. You may even need to switch the brands, sometimes the doctor can even rite you a prescription. For the nausea try this: Get a plastic bag and slice up lemons and put in the bag, then pour a lot of salt on top and carry this around with you. Every time that you start to feel nauseous stick your nose in the back and sniff.. It sound silly but it really did help!!! Good luck, and congrats!

I know that you are not allowed to eat acidic foods, but I can recomend a cure, there is something on the market called bitter aloe crystals, get it at any herbal shop and take a tiny crystal every morning. You won't even know what gout is after a while. I know it will work.

When a attack of gout strikes, eat only raw fruits and vegtables for two weeks. Juices are best. Frozen or fresh cherry juice is excellent. Also drink celery juice diluted with distilled water-use distilled water only, not tap water. Cherries and strawberries neutralizeuric acid, so eat lots of them. Also include grains. seeds, and nuts in your diet. Eat no meat of any kind, including organ meats. Meat contains extremely high amounts of uric acid.

A disturbance of uric-acid metabolism occurring predominantly in males, characterized by painful inflammation of the joints, especially of the feet and hands, and arthritic attacks resulting from elevated levels of uric acid in the blood and the deposition of urate crystals around the joints. The condition can become chronic and result in deformity.

First of all drink plenty of water and don't let you dehydrate at any cost. Try to avoid citrous fruits like orange, raw mangoes and all. Avoid excess pain killers because they will more damage the kidney and will lead to impaired uric acid excretion through urine. Consult your physiotherapist.
