as a rule the banks will open as many accounts as you want
if you start bouncing cheques they will soon close it though
that has nothing to do with a credit score

they don't check credit history to open an account
i've traveled the world and had many bank accounts. never have any of them checked my credit to open an account.

They do not do credit check unless you are also applying for a ready reserve type line of credit on your account. They only check to see if you are blacklisted with other banks for writing bad checks.

they will always do a credit check, it's some safe system all the banks use to collect debt or prevent you from getting a bank account, because the banks don't have to give you one.

it depends on the bank but w/US Bank they dont do a credit check.
