LOL, I must be stupid enough to think that freedom of expression comes with some responsibilities.

that is what the abuse button is for.

I agree. The abuse button is not enough. Yahoo! I seem to recall, once made a big deal about how they would make sure each item submitted to their engine was legit. They should do the same with the questions - especially since they are hype-ing the living crap out of this cool service.

It's true that such questions can always be reported. In addition, I would like to think that this form is about helping people to learn something. If they are prejudiced, their minds might be changed by reading some of the answers, if the answers are phrased appropriately.

The problem is they would have to have software for that -- man hours spent for a free service.

Also, it might render Answers useless -- i mean, sometimes there are legitimate reasons for using some words when a person is asking a legit question. (It currently does screen out words it considers bad -- like m*sturbate. No idea why that is a bad word. But it allows penis, vagina -- "clinical" words maybe.)

As long as children are present on this site, I think we should apply better screening tools. However, we should also have an ADULTS only option. So we adults can post freely without being pursacuted for excersizing freedom of speech.

they do have the report abuse but it takes way to long. i just reported one a few minute ago because he is a sick perve but the question will be there to long and i am sure the person had been thrown off but comes back with different name but always has the world kentucky in his nick name so keep watching and report the sicko and ignorant people. what good it does i haven't figured ot yet

It would be impossible for them to follow up, so many questions and answers are being posted and so fast. I think it's enough that users can report abuse, then yahoo can remove the offensive content.

i think yahoo does a pretty good job of screeening the real hard stuff but if it is a legitamate question i think all of the crap u are talking about goes out the window

there are too many questions for them to police the entire site, that is why we the users should report abuse and ignore the stupid racist and hatred questions and not respond to them.

i feel it takes them too long to get those kind of questions off of here. 24 hours later after something disgusting is posted, they may get around to removing it. by then, think of all the young children that have read it.
