As you all know, I am only 25 years old and 5 months pregnant. I teach Sunday School at church too. Yesterday we visited one family, so the 2 children met me at the door and they were so excited, invited us in and sat us down. While moving ever so gently and walking ever so slowly, the 4-year old girl went to me and started tickling my tummy saying "Hi baby", "There's a baby inside", "Tickle, tickle, tickle". I said "Why yes darling there is a baby inside".
And then she blurts out "Where's the mommy?"

She's really adorable and I then had to explain that I am going to be the mommy. She can't believe that a young girl like me (25) will be a mommy, her mother being 35 years old and all. I then had to explain to her that the man sitting beside me (my husband) will be the daddy. She smiled then jumped up and down and started playing again.
It's hard to explain things like this to a child. I'm just glad she didn't ask how we made the baby.

When I was very big with my daughters like the last two weeks before their births I had a lot of fun with the question "Oh,when are you due?" I'd look at my wrist and say "What time is it?"I had a great time with the way some of them reacted.

Too cute! My 5 year-old niece once asked my sister where she came from, my sister replied "from my tummy, I made you inside me and then you came out of my tummy when you were ready to meet us," to which my niece then looked at her father for a long minute and said "so what the heck did you do?" He was speechless.
