It is hardly surprising that jokes at the expense of Christians will occur when the more evangelical and fundamentalist of their kind are constantly using this site to make propaganda to argue against Darwinism and to promote uncritical belief in the Bible as being literally true, and do so, not just in the Religion and Spirituality category but in many other categories as well, such that it is hard to get away from them.

Unsurprisingly, this annoys people who come here to debate ideas not get propaganda shoved down their throat. They feel harassed, and indeed, they are right. They are being harassed. Unsurprisingly, there is then a backlash,

Perhaps the question could have been more precise as to which Christians were felt to be less than useful to other users of this site, and why, but the humour in the question is self-evident to all but the humourless.

This is not however preaching hate or intolerance agaunst a religious group, like the questioner recently who asked if Muslims should be killed at birth. That question was hastily removed by the Yahoo Answers team.

This is satire, sending people up not blowing people up, and it was to protect just this sort of material that Rowan Atkinson came out so strongly against the Race and Religious Hatred Bill and in favour of Artistic Freedom of Expression.

A slightly bitter comment maybe..??

Yes some Christians are far, far too 'over-the-top' with spreading the word and quoting verses from the bible etc!

Large numbers of Christians do use the bible for any excuse and quote it to try and answer any question 'under the sun', no matter how tenable the relation to the original question maybe!

Personally, I feel this is counter-productive to their 'cause' !

This is not true for most Christians and certainly this approach is not only that taken by Christians, but the vast majority of faith and believe systems around the world.

Remember, however that Christianity is a faith, not a science!

If you don't like this stance simply walk away, but don't start resenting / hating people because they think in a different way to yourself!

Be a little more tolerant and enjoy the world around you..!

You do realise christians are humans, rite.
When u say recycled, u mean reformed from christianity into sth else, don't u.
I think christians shd beware of pple like u in future. lol.
Anyway, everybody is entitled to their own belief so it's not left to us to decide who shd be recycled; it's an individual decision.
After all it's a free world "in theory".
And by the way, dog food and fertilizer are not the most useful things to make from christians, u shd be more creative if u have such option.

thats a very hurtful thing to say. I'm not a Christian and I'll admit that they can get on my nerves sometimes but they have the right to believe what they want just as you and I do. For the most part their faith makes them feel like their life has meaning and it is not our place to belittle that.

I think you should first recycle your way of thinking into something more useful. What about the believers of other creeds?Should somebody be recycled as he does not meet your expectations?Be human first and ask questions later!

This is really not funny, dear. It reminds Me of what they did to those poor innocent Jewish people during the holocaust. It is unspeakable. It is no laughing matter.

You are making one serious error here, and that is that you are equating "Christian" with a physical state. To change a Christian is not to change a person's physical nature, but to change their ideological nature.

In our previous life we were dog food. Once you hit bottom you go back to the top. Its great being a Christian and do not let anybody tell you anything different.
