It's treatable, not CURABLE. You need to find a doctor and they'll prescribe something for it. Trust me, my 3 siblings are all being treated for it.

sory to say there isnt a cure. But it is controlable. Between therapy, meds (if you choose meds with theraphy) and help from parents, he can be ok.
Now, remember your own sanity too. Raising an ADHD child is hard. You should share with the therapist and he can suggest coping skills that could work for you.
You should also look into ADHD summer camps. 1 week overnight camps. So he/she can meet kids that have the same issues. There are a lot of them on the web. Here in the states. I really dont know about India, since I am assuming if there is camp that it would not be co-ed. I came across websites in my search, but I cannot read the text so I feared posting them not knowing what they really said. They could be swearing, saying horrible things, and I wouldnt know better :)

It is important that he/she knows that they are not alone. It will cause depression and in some cases a child when they become a teen can end up suicidal. Because they feel unaccepted, they are being yelled at all the time. The sad part is they cannot control their behavior. The cannot do it without the tools to do so.
I know you are desperate all of us who have a child like this feels they have to do something to make them feel better.

There is no cure only drugs. Maybe strata, my brother is on it and it does not seam so bad. It can cause depression like the others, but it is non addictive. There is also Ritalin which has became a street drug. As well as Aderail which too has been sold on streets for big money because it is addictive. At least there is a pill for that; I am stuck with no cure for me with my CAPD. Make sure that is it what the doctor says try to get a second opinion. I was missed diagnosed with that when I was a kid. Then they frond out I really had Central Auditory Processioning disorder (CAPD). Good Luck from America!

http://www.a2zpsychology.com/ - try this link, there's a "psychologist directory" also containing a couple of Indian psychologists - you might be able to get a contact for one who does ADHD.
Good luck there.
