God gave us the free will to decide if we would spend our time in worshipping him/her or spend it idly. God gave us the choice to sin or not sin. God did create the devil but the devil used to be in heaven with God. The devil was not bad then, at least not boldly. When God created Adam, God told all in heaven to bow down to him. All but the devil (iblis) did so. When God questioned the devil as to why, the devil said he is only a man and is nothing compared to him. So God cast out the devil and any followers he may have and created hell for them. God gave the devil reprieve until the day of judgement when iblis will burn along with all sinners.

God did not create the devil. The devil was a angel at one time who decided to go against God so he was cast out of heaven. Just as we all started out cute little babies we grow up and turn into different people some average and ordinary people and some evil and mean people who hurt others the average people live life on a daily basis and the means ones usually suffer weather it is in jail or whatever.

No, no, no. God didn't create sin he created man and gave him the free will to choose to sin or not. He did create the devil but he created him as an angel who (because of free will) decided he would like to take God's place as the most high, but was defeated and cast out of the heavens with all his mutinous minions.

God created man, but there was no point in creating man unless he gave him feedom, ie a free will. It is man's free will that created sin and all the other evil in the world.
He created an angel called Lucifer, whose free will led him to turn away from God. That is who we call Satan, or the Devil.

God created man - true
Man created sin - incorrect. Man was deceived and led to commit sin, - hence the one who led man to sin was not God but the devil and so the devil is the sinner and not God.
God did not create the Devil. A cherub, (one of the four angels that stands next to the throne of God). This cherub, craved worship and nourished a desire to rebel against God and then we know the Adam and eve story - how they were deceived.
The Cherub which rebelled - spoke slander against God to Eve. Devil means slanderer; the father of lie since he is the first one who spoke lies to Eve; a manslayer - since he got all man under death.

According to the Christian myths, yes, he created Lucifer, an angel who fell from grace and became his arch-enemy, the being now known also as Satan or the Devil.

God created Sin, it took someone special to perfect it.
Why would Satan punish people who think the same as He does.
He would then be doing God's work and i don't believe He would do that.
He was punished for his freewill, as are all free thinkers.
Believers of God, you truly are his sheep.

Sin is evil, and evil is the absence of God. Satan doesn't exist. All of what God created was good. He has given us free choice, and if we choose to be distant from Him, we choose hell, we choose sin. Evil isn't a living entity, it's the absence of good, the absence of God.
Satan doesn't exist.

According to the Dr. Who episode I saw saturday the devil already existed before the universe as we know it started, so that would suggest that god had nothing to do with it.
come to think of it... god wasn't even mentioned.
