Because, if he was honest and said to you, "hey, I'm a nice guy and I want the opportunity to be your next boyfriend, how about it?", most women would not entertaing such a direct approach. So often men have to take a more indirect approach, which means, spending some friendship time with you to build some comfort, so that you can judge his character better, and then maybe become attracted to him.
Most men are not being devious, we are just forced to just not mention our true intentions, as when we do, women generally lose interested, unless of course you are Brad Pitt or very rich!

I have female friends I have no interest in sex with. And no they arent ugly. Quite attractive. I have a ball doing normal things with them and I dont want to confuse it with sex. And yes, it has come close with a few of them after a night out drinking and dancing. But luckily it didnt. They are my best friends and I like it that way.

It depends, if he says it and doesn't ever talk to you again then it means he was just trying to be nice and not hurt you. If he says it and starts moving faster with you then it means that he just wants to have some fun with no strings attached.
That is my experience at least.

at first we juss want to be frenz.but as u get to know someone better u tend to confide in them more and they make u feel relaxed.this will then force them to want more of u hence wanting to start a relationship..
its not that we are not true to ourselves but that man have too many feelings if those feelings are given to one person we tend to like that person more and more and wish to spend the rest of our lives with them..

well,if he says lets hump would you still hang out with him? Or he could say lets be friends and have a better chance at humping you. I don't do this but, most do.Just have female friends.And male boyfriends

Cos when they "wana be friends" it's their **** saying "i wana taste ur insides" cos ur outside luks good. Yea, it sort of codes everything they say from then on. So if ur not in the mood to tolerate his horniness, don't be friends.
