Many people have answered this questions for you already so I will simply add that yes you can purchase the fm transmitter and listen to your ipod through your car stereo system. I just wanted to add that my hubby purchased a very nice one that also acts as a charger which is nice as the battery on some Ipods tends to drain very quickly so it's nice to be able to rely on a different power source especially on a long trip. They do have car chargers for the Ipod but this is a nice two-in-one gadget.

i'm 22 and that i love classic us of a music too, yet I pay interest specially to bluegrass and southern gospel. yet i do not agree that blending the former with the hot would artwork ok. maximum people that like Janie Fricke, Alabama, and the Nitty Gritty airborne dirt and mud Band aren't to any extent further going to love Taylor rapid, Keith city, or Rascal Flatts. that is like having a rock-n-roll station that performs both the Beatles and the Jonas Brothers. There needs to be a station that's solely classic us of a, like there are for traditional rock and oldies. yet yeah, each thing those days is pushed through no longer some other thing desirable than money and greed. And maximum little ones and childrens do no longer understand what us of a music quite is. The music market has been shoving the fashionable crap down their throats all their lives and attempting to bypass it off as us of a.

You need the radio transmitter for the iPod. Once you have it, you can start the iPod, set the station, and listen to it on any radio in broadcast distance. This means you can also run the transmitter from your computer at home, and set all the radios in the house to the same station, allowing your iPod music to be enjoyed by all on that fancy stereo you've got.

If you buy the FM radio transmitter that everyone else has spoken of. It will give the choice of three station on the upper and lower ends of the dial.
You may have to change occasionally if you're going on a road trip but it works great.

DO you mean from your car player to the IPOD or the reverse.
The reverse is possible.
You have to buy a FM transmittior which is available in most hardware shops.
You have to then connect that to the headphone jack of the ipod. Now set a frequency that will not interfere with any existing frequency.
Tune the car player to the frequency that you set for the transmitter
Bingo , now it will play what you want it to from the ipod directly .

yeah, i think you're referring to the i-trip. it attaches to the top of your i-pod and you set a station with just static on the i-trip, then on your car radio and presto! you have your songs playing wherever you want.
