Yes, and modern societies have taken revenge out of the hands of the person affected and placed the responsibility in the hands of the courts, so that when someone is robbed, the person wants revenge, and gets it when the robber is sentenced to prison. Prison is the "revenge"--it is a more civilized system than letting the two fight it out.

Legally, NO, Revenge is NOT Justifiable. BUT looking at the way the courts handle things now - days, I have to lean towards yes, revenge IS JUSTIFIABLE. By courts I'll give an example as to look at the death row issues going on. Where death row inmates are arguing that lethal injections is cruel and unusual punishment. GIVE ME A BREAK already. Most of these guys KILLED SOMEONE. THIS IS CRUEL. Killing them is JUSTIFIABLE. As a matter of fact they should be tortured as they are being put to death. This is just one example I using here, but give this some thought and there are more reason I or you can could come up with that would actually justify revenge.

all means have a end and are justifiable by certain groups, but opinions of others may object, what i mean is you can justify anything, convincing others that you were right is the hard part
