coffee upsets my stomach
i'm a third year med tech stud
have LOTS of studying to do
have difficulty staying up late to study
sleepy during afternoons too!

at 9am 12pm and 3 pm your sugar drops makeing you feel sleepy so try some carbs or a soda at those times. Other then that try an apple, apples are packed full of vitamins and keep you awake longer and better then coffe.

Coca Cola, but with any sugar fix, you have to keep taking it often so you dont get the sugar low. I am a 3rd year pyschology student, so i know all about researching. Plus, as a med student you would know about the sleep cycle system, like former english prime minister Margaret Thatcher would do, is sleep 15 minutes of every hour. she did this for years! she only slept a total of 6 hours per day, but you are more mentally alert when you wake up. But on the downside, you also dont get much REM sleep which is vital for long term psychological health. she has dementia is a bad way which is common for those who use this way of sleeping. but is it effective for a few weeks.

any drink with the word "Guarana" (pronounced gua-na-na). Its a brazlilian tropical plant with small red fruit with a high caffeine content. Most powerdrinks you find a little in it, if your looking for a lot of caffeen then find the one with Guarana closest to the beginning of the ingrediants list, because it means theres more of it.

Old fav. like "Tab", "rockstar", "Bawls" all are popular energy drinks.

Try black tea...not English Breakfast or Earl Gray those aren't to strong...Chai is good, gives ya a good wake up call, just make sure to use milk and plenty of sugar.

Gaurana is a fat soluble form of caffeine thus less side effects and it keeps you alert and at an even keel throughout the day.
