Can Sun Solaris 10 be used as an Operating system on my pc? .So should I download the SPARC or X86 version of Solaris? So whic one is best for intel processor

For an intel processor, you want the x86 version. SPARC and x86 refer to the processor architecture. SPARC comes from Sun, and it's unlikely you're using a SPARC chip without knowing it.

I believe it can. As to the second part of your question, X86 no doubt. An X86 processor is an Intel processor, a SPARC is not.

For intel you have to go for X86. SPARC versions are for sun SPARC machines.
