What can I clean a carburator with apart from a can of ''clean'a'carb. Is petrol /metho ok.?

Have replaced fuel filter. Thats not the problem.

i think diesel is the best to use

If a cloggoed filter or a bad pump isn't the cause of needing fuel system work, then the carburetor may need rebuilding.

it can also be cleaned by taking it apart. or it might need to be rebuilt
