What is the reason there is a "lock" on anything - there is a possibility that you should not be partaking in anything that is parentally locked. Parents do actually know some "things". Can you talk with your parents? Ask them exactly why this thing is locked, and if their answer is "no" then proceed with you life without "whatever" it is. How has it been that you've been able to "live without" "whatever" it is till now? Think about that!

Call the company that issued the receiver. They should be able to release the parental codes through their computer. Generally, if you do not have the code yourself this is the only way it can be done. They will usually require some kind of proof that you are the correct owner and user of the box but they should be able to do this for you.

Tell them to unlock it or you are moving out. Then find a nice apartment and a job. Then buy your own receiver.

Try powering down the system for a period of hours; that might reset the box. If that doesn't do it, contact Dish Network and get them to reset the box.

Well if you're parents locked it then they would have the code. If it's locked already try 1234.
