the part of the hair that contains the DNA is the hair root (the white bit on the end). if the hair strand does not have that attached then no dna. u b good now ya hear.

The hair follicle at the base of human hairs contains cellular material rich in DNA. In order to be used for DNA analysis, the hair must have been pulled from the body -- hairs that have been broken off do not contain DNA.

Hair doesn't contain DNA, it can be matched by color and texture under a microscope but its not very accurate. The follicle sometimes attached to the hair (usually if its pulled out) does however contain DNA.

NO the hair does not contain DNA, the (hair folical does.)

if a hair falls out the follical is still in your head, but if you pull a hair out you will see the tiny white end on it. That is the follical and that has DNA...

the hair folicle, the root at the end that goes into your scalp has dna on it. Crime labs do test hair for dna to catch criminals, if you've commited a crime- go ahead and turn yourself in- it will save a lot of trouble.

they all have to do with DNA. that's what they use to test.
there's a lot of information about you in your hair. for example if you've done drugs at any time and haven't cut your hair yet they can tell what drugs you did and how long ago.
