He is most likely to get off with a fine for a first offense. Piracy is wrong, especially if it's sold. If people only really understood the amount of work, the number of people that work on an album and on a movie, then it might change it, but who really knows. If piracy keeps up, someday the film industry won't be able to afford to keep making movies because they won't have the income to do so. If you want to report piracy, you can contact the cops, but do it because it's a crime, not because you want revenge. One thing everyone learns in life, revenge is never sweet, because it's short lived for the effort it takes to do it, and it always comes back around. :( If you're against piracy, then warn him, and then if he continues, report him, but don't do it as revenge.

imprisonment? has this person ever done anything as bad as having u sent to prison? think b4 u do anything to spiteful....its not just revenge, i personally think its one of the most spiteful thing anyone can do to someone! u will ruin his entire life-make it hard 4 him to get a job, some people go as far as taking their own lives after the trauma of prison, could you live with the fact that u done that 2 someone? also u will b hurtin his family as much as him, if he has kids....how do u think they will feel? and u should try and think how u would feel if the tables were turned? i cant imagine that the person has been that bad to do this to them, and what if he just gets a fine and it wont take long to work out who has bubbled him, what will he do to u??
ok, he downloads music and films...surely u have seen all the questions on this site asking for places to download stuff from? your be getting more than just the person u want revenge for, into trouble!!

Tell the police, though if it is minimal they won't do anything and you are going to get a lot of grief. They charged a record store owner here and he was tried in US Court. He was NOT convicted!

It is bad thing what he is doing but if you are doing this out of revenge (only) then you are no better than he is (ethically speaking).

Yes, call the cops, anonymously and explain where you believe this all takes place. They will then raid his/her place and arrest them. They then take them to court! Imprisonment is a possibility.
