They're very visible and very irritating. Our pets get them every summer then they and the whole place gets treated. They dont bite the other humans but they make a meal of me!!! Hey Victoria yes the best way is to drown them once you've got them btween finger and thumb but ALWAYS add a few drops of washing up liquid in the water, that way they sink to the bottom, otherwise they swim very well and can climb out. Just a couple of drops, and dont make any suds!

Where did you find this information? It is incorrect. Fleas can be seen clearly with the naked eye. Cat fleas are more common and smaller than dog fleas. To kill fleas, the most effective method is to drown them because they have very hard exoskeletons and are therefore difficult to squash.

You are missing the point. The real question is "Why have I got Fleas"
You need to get your pets treated, your house cleaned up, your friends changed, and your clothes boiled.
