awwwwww, That is so sweet and it really brings back memories!! My son is 6 now and he sings that song to me now but instead of saying sunshine he sings " you are my mommy , my only mommy etc.... It makes me cry everytime. You sound like you are a terrific mother. Keep up the good work sweetie!!!

All the usuals, but my daughter loved yellow submarine by the beatles and I get around by the beach boys when she was 6 mnths. Singing aids emotional and social development so sing sing sing.

I just changed the words to different songs I remember hearing growing up (not necessarily from my era). Instead of "My baby does the Hanky Panky", I sung, "My Jamie is the fattest (or cutest) baby". He would smile so hard it was absolutely adorable.

I just used to make up songs.Sing some sweet little story like a lullaby.Its the tone which matters more than the words.

I used to sing "Baby Mine" to my daughter when she was a baby. I also used to make up silly little songs. Sometimes I would exercise her little legs and sing her a little "baby jig" song I made up.

my boys got give me that old time rock and roll and as soon as they could talk pleaded and begged for me not to sing it isn't one of my strong points! i am now subjecting my grand kids to love potion number 9...
